I posted a similar photo last week and wanted to share some thoughts on it…
There are many times as photographers we get creatively stuck shooting the same angle / same perspective .. Especially when it’s a place you have visited many times. Which makes it so much more important to evaluate how you can make your image different and significant to you..
This day had some of the clearest water I had seen.. It’s seems like a great opportunity to shoot something over /under or at water level with a waterhousing .. ( something I always bring on trips) because I new it would provide a unique look at an over- photographed spot
For me it’s never enough to go somewhere and get images that simply make do.. I would rather leave with a story of froZen hands and be stared at by a crowd of tourist as I lay face down on a frozen river in board shorts. (at fringe of dumb and creative)
